DubinsI pretty much like everything about the sfb except I don't do that well on it in crud.. It could be just me but I'm looking for my everyday to be a bit better when conditions aren't great, understanding that it will probably give up some of the playfulness the SFB has... And as far as the automatics go they just have a solid feel, awesome floatations and they are super responsive and stable
tomPietrowskiYeah I woul totall agree about the sfb its a very soft ski so can get really thrown around when conditions are not ideal. I would look somthing a little stiffer. Maybe look at the sick days if you like line. The sick days are by far the beat line skis currently IMO. Or look at the salomon Qlab/q98.
.LincolnSalomon rocker 100s look fun and would do great as well. Some skis that I've heard crush anything(park to groomers to crud to most pow) 4frnt devy, rossi slat, 4frnt gaucho, k2 sheditor 102(these are pretty soft I believe) and faction candide 2.0
tomPietrowskiThe rocker 100 is an amazing ski but won't really suit the op. It is. Symmetrical rocketed ski so it's not going to be amazon charging hard. somthin with a little early rise in the tail such a the Qlab will be muc better. But yeah if your more of a jib skier and not a chatfer rocker 100's are amazing.
.LincolnFor sure. But as he was coming off bacons and he said he liked them besides they were "too" soft to charge for him. Rocker 100s would be much stiffer tha bacons yes? He for sure will charge harder on other skis but I thought he still wanted a ski he can be playful with, just not as playful.
tomPietrowskiOh yeah for sure they are much better then bacons for skiing hard. They are not that stiff though and with the rocker could be a little unstable at speed. He says be is a directional skier with no real park so I would think a rocker camber early rise tail ski will be his best bet. For example you can ski so much harder on somthing like a q98 compared to the rocker 100 even though they are the same flex Pretty much.
.LincolnOh I missed the part of him being directional. Since he had bacons I thought he liked to job around. For sure q 98 would be great. Also like sick days, armada arvti, volkl mantra, armada declivity, blizzard Cochise, and armada invictus would be some solid choices,
DubinsSo I'm looking for an everyday ski to go with my atomatics. I tend to seek out stashes, I'm more of a directional skier than I like to think and don't ski park. I've been shredding my SFBs which I love but I'm ready for something new. I've been looking at 4frnt devistators, on3p kartel 106, and the shredditor 102... Wanted to see what you guys thought! I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks guys!
Dubinsthanks for all the replies guys... I bought the bacons with the intention of being a more jib oriented skier...but it turns out i'm just not haha. Im going into my 4th season switching over from snowboarding so Im still figuring it out. And Darth I don't know exactly why I just know people who love ON3P and say its a great ski. And it seems to be in that 100+ daily driver category. Ive demo'd the Cochise and i really liked them, unfortunately a local store that i'm very loyal too doesn't carry Blizzard, but i am going for something a little more in that realm of ski.
DubinsLet's see... 4frnt. Armada, atomic, on3p,Solomon, line, volkl. Ya I can eventually but I'm hoping to get rid of my current skis and I'm not sure the automatics are gona rule the early season haha
