Replying to Crystal Mountain: Why the 750$ season pass?
Teafast is very confused over the price for a season pass to Crystal Mountain in Washington. The cheapest unlimited price for me would be 810$ after tax. This price does not even include access to Crystal's on-mountain gondola, this would cost 100$ more to add. A large part of my anger towards this price is due to the fact that I don't think Crystal Mountain wants young (late teen-early 20 college aged) people at their mountain. The cutoff for an adult is 16 (you have to be 15 for the youth pass) and the mountain offers no College Discount whatsoever. Almost every other mountain offers a college pass. The price to ski alta unlimited as a college student is 600$, and that's for ALTA, arguably the best mountain to ski in America. Where I live, Maine, you can get a pass to Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Loon for about 350$.
So you may ask: "Why not ski at a different mountain?" In Crystal's defense, it is the best mountain I have skied in Washington. Snoqualmie is a butthole, and Stevens Pass is just too far away from where I go to school. (Stevens Pass price for a College Pass is 300$) Even Snoqualmie Gold (Pass to get 5 free days at Crystal) doesn't offer a college discount.
Crystal is a part of Boyne, and I am just wondering why Boyne chose Crystal to be the mountain they gouge people at. SO NS. Thoughts? Concerns? Don't give a fuck?
