Weird injury on summer setup

So I was hitting a little dfd setup out of three different rails. I slipped out and slammed my shin into one of the supports and my body still went forward. The weird thing was that my ankle was hurting really bad, not my shin. My ankle is starting to swell a little bit so I really dont even know what happened, either if I just strained it or something worse(i dont know crap about medical terms). So has this happened to anyone else?

My suggestion would be to go to the doctor. swelling is always a bad sign. I mean it could be as little as a sprain, but it could be a chipped bone too. never really know until you get a professional medical opinion.

Not sure if this will help but if I had a chipped bone wouldnt I not be able to walk? cuz I can walk it just hurts a bit

You probably sprained your ankle but you hit your shin hard so you didn't notice. Regardless, I'm no doctor but I'm sure you can find one.

You probably hit you shin, but your ankle's inertia kept it going forwards so it sprained from getting pulled by your ski and boot. But yeah, go to a doctor, apply ice, pressure, etc.
