So Ski Gabber.... what is your take on NSG?

Do you go there?

Do you like it?

When I was younger I loved NSG, and there were some real interesting discussions down there. Nowadays it seems that nobody has the ability to have a reasonable conversation about something online; those who do have this ability get drowned out by the idiots, the trolls and the incomprehensible.

ThaLoraxI don't know what caused it and I can't even pinpoint when it happened, but I used to find NSG interesting. Nowadays it's difficult to have a conversation in NSG without the thread getting derailed, someone calling inb4 every other post, or hating on a post for no reason at all. The worst we used to get was "Searchbar". Now it's "searchbar" followed by a stream of stupid memes that have nothing to do with the thread topic.


I cant even remember the last time ive seen someone inb4, and searchbar is rarely ever used anymore. Infact I think people say searchbar more in sg

To be honest SG is pretty boring in the summer. A lot of re-posts and never very much discussion. I enjoy reading threads in NSG in the summer. And M&A and Regionals are more helpful generally than SG or NSG.

Sorry, if I knew you were so sensitive I would have figured out a nicer way to post it or went out and bought you a dress first. Compared to 2 years ago none of that stuff is hardly posted anymore. I think it is you that has the horrible memory

Ya, I went to the beach this morning and forgot to sit on the bidet when I got home.

NSG used to be funny. It used to have intelligent conversations. It used to be fun. It used to have people like nomenstevens and mommy and you can't replace personalities like that. I still can't explain properly what it is that's different. Maybe I'm just old and bitter now but I have a feeling it's the same reason elgato is no longer a mod anymore. Maybe I miss the smaller community that it used to be. Maybe I've just been on the site too long and am getting burnt out. Maybe I need more vagisil.

J.D.I do not get the impression that SG and NSG have different user sets. It's pretty much the same people.

georgen12I read nsg becuase its hilarious but i dont post normally. sg is a kinder and less barbaric so i go there more


NSG is funny but that is because people are assholes to other people, but this also makes me not post much. I do post occasionally though. Also, 70% of the threads and comments are really dumb, and it is hard to argue against dumbasses.

The biggest difference is that NSG is just a total 'off topic' forum. There isn't really any direction so it can just go any which way - from far reaching politial 'discussions' to the 'tits LOL' threads and the "inb4 OP's mom" garbage.

Sometimes a current event pops up and there's an actual discussion though. I feel that now a lot of the guys who were once 17-18 are 21-22, and actually have a brain now and again. It's certainly better now than it has been in the past in some ways, but in others, it's absolutely the same NSG it's always been.

I DEMAND TITS! But in all seriousness NSG is my last resort browsing option. Primarily because most of the news threads ive already read about somewhere else and everything else is just nonsense or people looking for help and then just being fucked with. It is filled with people either taking the internet say too seriously or just blatantly not giving a fuck. Take away the stupid people and replace them with tits.
