SG's opinion on NSG?

So Ski Gabber.... what is your take on NSG?

Do you go there?

Do you like it?

Do you feel its perfect, not moderated enough or moderated too much?

I partake in NSG occasionally, never during winter, but i poke around during summer. I go on Reddit and 4chan more tho for stuff like what I would find in NSG.

I visit Gear Talk, Regionals, and a couple cults more than NSG actually.

I do not get the impression that SG and NSG have different user sets. It's pretty much the same people.

I read nsg becuase its hilarious but i dont post normally. sg is a kinder and less barbaric so i go there more

I'll occasionally look at a new thread in NSG, but I've never commented. I come to newschoolers for ski related stuff and other places for actual world news/events. There definitely should be a NSG but the "post the last thing you purchased" type threads don't do much for me.

It seems rare that people actually post while skiing. Sometimes we get the random chair lift post. It would be fun to get more posts from people that are actually skiing while they post.

I absolutely think the posting demographic is different. I shift back and forth in waves, but when I go from one to the other, there's maybe 40% crossover, and the other 60% is people who post almost exclusively in either NSG or SG.

I've never loved a post so much.

I think nsg ia alright I post there tons more but spend more time in SG because you can actually tell people give a shit in SG.

I go to both and comment in both, however I go to SG more, post in SG more, and I like SG more. For the most part, SG is really chill and everyone is usually on each other's side while NSG can get tense on occasion.

Definitely find myself going in NSG a lot more than any other part of the forum.


In the winter my traffic to SG picks up a lot more though.


I feel at home in NSG, except for yoski and lucky it's a good place to be.

I'll go in ski gabber more often once if3 rolls around through ski season, but I'm mostly in nsg, despite the fact nsg is spammed by yoski and lucky.

I think it'a a cess pool, the only cess pool I have ever loves

I spend more time there than anywhere else on here primarily because the current lack of snow/ski stoke

It has its moments but I go there out of habit more than anything else

Both, and NSG is perfectly moderated. There are trolls, but with a crackdown there'd be a large drop in entertainment factor.

I check out both SG and NSG everyday, but in NSG it has to have a cool topic for me to even check it out. SG i pretty much open every thread in a new tab.

I don't like yoski but I also don't dislike him. other than going to Harvard I know nothing else about him, and lunike Dolan he really hasn't been trolling or maybe I've just missed a bunch of his posts.

I don't know what caused it and I can't even pinpoint when it happened, but I used to find NSG interesting. Nowadays it's difficult to have a conversation in NSG without the thread getting derailed, someone calling inb4 every other post, or hating on a post for no reason at all. The worst we used to get was "Searchbar". Now it's "searchbar" followed by a stream of stupid memes that have nothing to do with the thread topic.

I tend to go homepage first, open the threads on there in a new tab, leave them open, open SG, open the ones that interest me (apart from the ones on the homepage), do the same with NSG then the same with gear talk and then read through the threads. Then i may go to regionals if i'm bored.
