las.Pretty meh list - I'd regard LAS and Gantz to be above all of those bar 1 (Kahn). Additionally, Skream deciding to jump over to disco doesn't deaden dubstep in any sense, so don't flatter him too much, mixmag. Genres evolve - artists come and go. The commercial side of the genre dying doesn't really mean anything either in terms of the genres journey - it's actually stronger than ever at the moment.
What happened to drum and bass is what's happening to dubstep now (just at a far more explosive rate), and if you've been in music for as long as you say you have then you'll know that these fads, however long they may last, typically don't detract from or even affect the true, core sound
LAS, Gantz, Mikael, Kahn are all crazy.
TMSV deserved to be on that list for sure, love what hes doing.
Thelem is killing it, actually I like the direction J:Kenzo has taken Artikal in general, seems to be getting out of that dungeoney stereotypical sound Kryptic Minds started that got beat to death.
EshOne is killing it in the states, as is AxH.
And Ive been playing a ton of that jazzy stuff from Deep Heads, Mindstep, Chord Marauders, etc.
Find it funny that Killawatt is on there, dude has already seemed to head the techno route, hasnt he put out a bunch of stuff on Pinch's techno label?
Dubstep is very much alive and will stay that way, but without all the crap and hype. Like it better that way anyways.
