I demo'd the new model a couple of weekends ago in NZ and really liked them. They were buttery but not too soft and held an edge really well. Great pop, so much fun. I wish I'd have been able to try a longer version though. I tried the 176 and I'm 188cm tall, weigh 89kg and felt like when I was charging on-piste with them I was overpowering them a bit.
However, they were still A LOT of fun, really good for jibbing around on the side of the piste and had low swing weight, nice flex and good pop.
They're pretty light which is good for pretty much everything.. Stable in high speed inruns and kickers, playful and buttery if you just wanna mess around in park! I'm not skiing pipe, so can't something about this. But Simon D'Artois is shreddin the pipe on 1.0s and he looks pretty satisfied..
