Will Ski shops do this?

So my chronics have a really dull edge on one side (almost down to the base). I know that park skis aren't supposed to have the best of edge hold after hitting rails, but I feel less confident when I'm just ripping groomers knowing I could hit some ice and slip with that shitty edge. I looked up a method where someone cut out a section of edge and replaced it with a new one. I don't have the supplies or skills to do that myself, so I was wondering if any shops would be willing to do it.

I can't imagine a technique like this because an edge is usually laminated into a ski, so you would have to de- and relaminate the ski to swap out a part of the edge.Gould you post a link to said method?

ya ive seen people do this at home, but ive never heard of them doing it a shop. i would just try to sharped whats left of the edge and ride them as long as you can, and after you ride them for a while just get a new pair.

Edge replacement is fairly common and shops do it regularry however it will not work for what you want. It is usually done in small sections where an edge has been damaged by say a rock hit. th edge when replaced will be good for carving an general use but will not be strong enough for rails. Also if you are tryin ti replace a large section there is a far bigger risk the replaced edge will just pull straight out. So no unfortunately ut won't work. Why may work some why is a base grind. This may flatten the top edge of slightly then with a side edge and deburr they may get better.
