Hello there, I am trying to decide on a new pair of skis for the upcoming season. I have never owned my own pair of skis so I don't know exactly what I'm looking for in a ski. I usually ski park and groomers but I also enjoy powder runs. So I am looking for a ski mostly for park but can also ski a few powder lines. In the park I ski about 60% rails and 40% jumps and go relatively big. I am 6 foot and weigh 140 pounds. Right now I am looking at the On3p Filthy Rich, On3p Kartel 98, Volkl Wall, Armada Ar7 and the Faction Wednesday but I would love to hear any other suggestions. I have been doing a lot of research and these skis are that I have come down to. I can buy one pair of skis only and I would like them to be durable. I have a budget of about $700
well none of those skis will do too well in your pow category except maybe the kartel 98. on3p is bombproof. if you want something that will do better all mtn/pow, but is slightly softer there is the line blend.
amplid rockwell's were the freskier all mountain editors choice last year and theyre super cheap on amplids website right now. They sound like they'd be exactly what you're looking for too
Filthy riches will float in pow less than a foot. And kill it everywhere else. The kartels will probs be the best all mtn. It'll float in good amounts of pow. Also check out the 106 version of kartel for that extra girth for float. And the Wednesday should so well in some pow too. The ar7 and walls would suck tho.
