Replying to First Car for a Ski Bum

Hey NS. I'm looking for a decently fuel efficient vehicle that can take me to the mountain multiple times a week. I would like it to be a hatchback/wagon/SUV because I'm planning on sleeping in the car. I'm not too worried about AWD/4WD because where I am the roads are plowed early morning 95% of the time. My budget is around 3k, but I might be able to wiggle. Pretty much all I need is a typical ski mobile. Also, I don't really give a shit if its a beater.
