Replying to How to: Road Trip

So my friends and I instead of just going to the beach and partying for a week want to take a month long road trip next year. We're beginning planning this now and there's some factors I'm not sure on. Is it possible to rent a Van to travel for around a month? What kinds of foods do you pack because I'd assume most people on a road trip don't eat out every night. And again we've just begun planning this so we aren't far in at all, so any tips or anything will be appreciated since we're all pretty unexperienced with this. The big part it finding a van or something big enough for us that we can rent.
