Damaged Rossignol Axial2 Help Needed

Hello everyone I need some help with my bindings.

So my one of my brakes cracked on my Rossignol Axial2 120's and this has resulted in one of the little metal prongs that hooks into the underside of the brakes being bent to the side meaning brakes will not properly attach to the binding.

Here is a photo (it's very hard to take pictures of it that properly show what has happened):



Hopefully it should be pretty obvious what has happened. The little hook has been slightly bent downwards to the point were it will no longer hook into the brakes properly.

How would I go about fixing this? Would it be ok just to get a hammer and gently tap it back into place with the hammer, it doesn't look like anything else has been damaged due to this bend? Or should I just take it back to the shop and have them have a look at it?

Binding damage = take it to a shop.

Not worth the risk if you don't know what you are doing.

That should jut be a case of bending it back with some pillars. its not a functional part of the binding so don't worry about doing it, but it is quite easy to snap them off when bending it. So I may suggest you take it to a shop first and see if they will do it simply because if they break it they hopefully will replace it. But it's not to hard do maybe have a go and see. Just mak it look like the other. It's something we do to bindings in the shop all the time. Just go slow.

Grab a hammer hit it, remove other break. To poor to take to shop, make leashes out of a vine from the neighbouring woodland. Then make some war paint out of your mothers make up collection she has been secretly hoarding for you for eternity. Put on make up go into ski shop show them your accomplishment, Hopefully they sponsor you and those Axial 2's perish into hells depths where the Dynafit devils can tarnish them and disembowel them.

I just gently bent it back into position with pliers and a small hammer. This seems to have fixed it and the brake reattched fine. If it bends again I will take it to a shop.

Good work. Yeah they are fairly easy to sort out it's just really annoying if you snap them and you don't have a spare.

Thanks for the help. If it does snap how much of a challenge is it to replace? Obviously I would get the shop to do this because they would need to order in the part but would it be something that is difficult to change/replace?

Very easy you just slide te heel out the track take the screws out and take the plastic cover off.
