Skiing in japan

Hey guys,
so me and my dad decided to do a pow trip this year and chose japan as our destination. We're gonna go there in February. So I wanted to ask if some of u guys know what some good places are / if there are agency's that would help with such trips. My only concern with agency's is that we're gonna end up skiing in groups with other people who are very slow (were both pretty good skiers). If someone has other important things to say/ tips please tell me. Thx.

dont go to niseko... if you want the true Japanese skiing experience, go to FURANO... it's an easy drive from the airport and it's completely isolated and incredible. No foreigner's fucking up your traditional time.

You definitely don't need to join a tour group. If you want an easy, western style resort experience, go to Niseko. There'll be pow, lots of it, but it'll be busy.

You could use Niseko as a base as there's a ton of accomodation there, and explore the nearby ski areas. Hakuba also is pretty easy for western visitors.

Or if you're adventurous, get on the internet, scope out some locations and hire a car. There are hundreds of ski hills of various sizes all over central and northern Japan. Only a handful of them are regularly visited by foreigners, but most of them get the same snow.
