Can't we all just have a tiny bit more fun? I know everyone is out there having a blast and living life to the fullest -- so why not share that vibe instead of giving people the impression that skiing is serious business. Perception is reality for many of those new to the sport.
I know ski media is partially responsible for that, and I will do my best to make sure Newschoolers keeps things fresh and fun. But it's a two way street -- the consumer needs to demand that as well!
Create and consume reviews by people not getting paid to ski or write about skiing:
---
And the list goes on. The only way content and events like this will stay alive is if you support them -- and you can do this in SO many different ways. Yes financial support is always great, but a like, share, or a simple comment voicing your opinion can go a very long way as well. Trust me, athletes, producers, photographers, and journalists aren't getting paid enough to do this for the money, so make their day and give them props when you are stoked!
Maybe I'm totally off with this, and people actually do prefer the epic side of skiing more so than the fun and weird side -- and if so, please let me know! That's the great thing about Newschoolers.
