Replying to Weird NS Callout

So I was at the Erie County Fair in New York early today. I was wearing my NS t-shirt and I was walking past the dunk tank when the guy in it yelled "Hey could you tell me how to get to Chad's Gap from the bottom of Alta?" I was reallyyy surprised but then the dude was like "Nah just kidding screw skiers, you all suck." Then he said something else about but I couldn't hear him so I just kind of kept walking cause I couldn't tell if he was an actual member or if he was some snerberder who knew the callout.
