I adopted the vegan lifestyle almost a year ago now and I'm loving it. Why not change your lifestyle to benefit yourself,the environment,and animals. Any other vegans on ns?

I still can't get past this. You searchbarred for vegan threads.....found them.....saw they were a shitshow of hateful meateaters....and decided to make another one with the expectation that it would go differently.
Benefit the environment? So if people stop shooting deer for example they won't become overpopulated? That would lead to an increase in predators. And areas without predators that would lead to more car accidents and more deer diseases. Lots of deer would starve from starvation (causing sickness) and that would wind up hurting the population.
You can see where I'm going with this, we need to control their population by eating them.

Your point is invalid. First of all, people aim for the lungs for a quicker kill.
2)beating a dog is abuse which is usually people reflecting their anger on an animal. You're not killing it for food.
3)People don't hunt for fun. Mainly hunt for food. There is sport in killing the biggest male for example, but that's better than killing a young male who has years left to mate.

no other species have gone to the moon, built skyscrapers, or have a formal education system. just to name a few things our species does that others don't.
Honestly, if you do not not want to eat meat that's all you.
If you want to help the enviorment and you have a problem with factory farms, shop local. The summer time is full of farmers markets. That way you can buy farm fresh meat, where they do not touture the cows. And the meat is 100x better for you since the cows eat grass like they're supposed to (research why there is plenty on the interwebz why grassfed is better).
Plus the veggies aren't GMO'd to fuck.
You should really be upset with corporations ruining our food. Not meat eaters.

I'm pesciatrian so I can still enjoy eggs and cheese but burgers and steaks are a no go. I've gotten a lot healthier honestly by changing my protein intake to plant based. My girlfriend is a vegan and I support her 100% the only Dow side is finding places to go out to eat that are good and not Chinese all the time.
If you want to help animals, support local and ethical farming practices instead of sitting there masturbating in your complacency over how much 'better' your lifestyle is. Vegans seem to forget that their pushing of trendy healthy alternatives (re: the acai berry, textured vegetable proteins) saw the rape of the environment belonging to tens of thousands of indigenous peoples (which includes the animals living there!) in South America.
Not all vegans are bad, but not all vegan eating is good. Don't forget that. Support smart best practices not simply cutting out foods because it seems like a good idea.

yeah see this is what I don't get...people stop eating meat because they don't like the way the industry treats animals-- change the industry, don't stop eating meat. Promote better treatment of animals and cleaner food by purchasing from those whose practices align with your beliefs.
If a vegan states that they don't eat meat because of the industry, then what would be the justification for turning down turkey jerky from someone who hunted and processed the meat themselves?

OP what is your opinion on this image? i am kinda skeptical about stuff i find on the internet but im always tempted to post this thing and have vegans explain to me how they feel about it. im not trolling, im genuinely interested to know your opinion. just think of all the cows that died for your 4th of July fireworks show
