I thought so originally as well but it seems to be true.

Oscar winner and comedian Robin Williams died this morning at 63. While his publicist wouldn't confirm that it was a suicide, they did issue this statement. "Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.

That is really sad the man took his own life, I knew he was having trouble after his wife left him and took all of his money but never saw this coming.

Fuck this sucks though. Hoping their will be a marathon of some of his movies. One of those actors that had his own style that nobody could copy or replace.

They were saying he suffered from severe depression. I know thats a symptom of being bipolar (my brother is bipolar). And the way he acted seems similar as well.

He seemed like such a nice person. Hard to believe someone who brought so many smiles was actually depressed.

A guy I used to work with gave him a few snowboard lessons, said he was stoked on the mountains.

I mean I agree but damn dude. Clearly he didn't have much of an impact on you but many of us grew up with those movies and the dude was a fucking legend. I'm not really that big on celebrity deaths but this one truly does make me sad.

Trust me I had to have watched cheaper by the dozen and Mrs. Doubtfire a thousand times each plus many other of his movies. He was truly a legend. Our country really sucks when it comes to mental health. I can speak from experience that depression is a SOB and that mindset is a tough one to get out of. Even in people such as Robin who we have always thought of with such joy can linger dark thoughts. It is to bad that it took him from us.

It is in a sense but doesn't surprise me. I'm a pretty happy seeming person and make people laugh all the time but always battling depression and just kind of hanging in there.

You can't tell what's going on inside a persons head from their outward appearance. It's really sad to think about though, all the people he made smile over the years, the happiness he spread, and then such a sad ending.
