Good way to rig skis/boards to snowmobile?

Hey, gonna be doing some snowmobile skiing this season (lazy mans backcountry). I've done it before, but I had the skis strapped to my backpack. It was a real pain in the ass. Does anyone know if there is anyway you could install a rack to the back of a snowmobile to holds skis or snowboards?

kind of difficult to explain, but what me and my buddy did was drill a hole in the tunnel pretty much under where you'd put your feet down on both sides there we put a strap that we bought at a hardware store. the strap was just a peice of webbing with a fastener on it and we bolted it through the holes. So we put the tips of our skis there and then tied the tails together around the bar at the end of the tunnel extentsion. It works pretty good, solid, cheap to do and easy to get rid of so you can just ride. that explanation is pretty confusing but I tried

Maybe using ropes and bungies make a sled out of your skis that you tow. Like lay your skis flat connect them and stabalize it with your backpacks n shit on top of it.
