Buying BIG ski boots

So I have a size 14 shoe (around a size 32 boot) and I am having trouble finding quality affordable boots that will fit me. I don't want to spend over $350 if possible. If anyone else with big feet knows how I could find some boots, I would really appreciate the insight.

- go to boot fitter
-get fitted
-find correct boot
- boot fitter orders you correct boot if they don't have it in stock.

Well then drive to the nearest fitter even if it's a couple hours it will be worth it.

Spend a few hours driving to a good fitter and getting proper fitting boots to save yourself from being in pain from poorly fitting boots and potentially missing out on days of skiing.

I doubt your size 14 shoe actually corresponds to a size 32 ski boot. Get fitted in person properly or enjoy spending at least twice as much when the first boots you order off the internet end up being too big and you have to order a second pair to downsize.

If you are a us 14 I would Harvard a guess you are more like a 29-30. There will be plenty of great boot in that size. But $350 is a very low budget for boots. Footbeds will be at least $150 so tht only leaves you $200 for a boot. I would certainly advise saving some more up as you just won't have any selection for tht little.

So save up and while you do research the best fitters in the surrounding area. Fun the bet fitter and have him asses you and fit you some boots.

I feel you on that one. At least make sure you know what size boot you need. (Probs not a 32), and find out your last, arch hight, and get a good idea on your calf size. Then buy a boot on that.

They will have a good chance of not fitting though, and no matter what will not be as comfy as a boot from a fitter. So you are taking a gamble on buying online, and there is a pretty good chance of you loosing that$350 and needing to start over.

Remember it's not quite that easy though. say your foot width is 104mm and you actually measure a 29 that does not mean you need a 104mm lasted boot you woul infect be better in a 98mm. If yo don't know why then don't bother tryin to fit yourself let a fitter do the hard part for you.

Ah yes I did forget to explain that part. As I said though this should be a last option for people buying boots. If at all possible you should %100 go to a boot fitter.

Go to a good bootfitter. If you don't you'll end up with a less than ideal boot, and likely the wrong size too. If you just go by your shoe size you'll very likely end up with a boot several sizes off, people often do.

This. You'd only be a size 32 if you wanted a direct conversion (i.e. you've never skied before or are old as balls and enjoy having no control over your ski). For example, I wear size 8 shoes which would be a direct conversion to size 26 boots. However, 26 is way too big, so I ski on size 24.5. My feet hurt the first few days of the season, then they get used to it, and I thank myself for having control over my skis.

TLDR: Go to a boot fitter.
