Country music. Never been a huge fan but always had respect for the artists such as Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Brooks and Dunn. Now people say country music and they are songs about chainsaws? Sung by a girl who probably weighs 95lbs? and getting drunk on an airplane? What is country about this?

THIS THREAD CUTS DEEP.

All my roommates listen to country and I'm down for good ole' country western shit like Garth Brooks and the guys you mentioned but all they listen to is Pop-Country shit.

Country is currently going through what hop hop/rap when through in the mid 00s. Except it's far more popular than hip hop/rap was.
