Op you are misguided on a number of fronts.

the hard problem of consciousness loophole has inspired thousands of crackpots to conclude that science cannot fully explain things like consciousness, and that some sort of "magic" must be involved.

this is a silly assumption to make.

If you want to know what we are really made from i suggest reading this thread.

Questioning science because of consciousness is like questioning evolution because of the more detailed designs seen in organisms. The questioning results from a lack of faith in either evolution or science.

Abandoning your faith in science is akin to just giving up in my opinion. If you really want answers about reality then you need to observe reality through the lens of science. Everything we know about reality is a result of scienctific discovery, not superstition

The reason consciousness seems so elusive to answers is because our subjective experience comes from activity that is far apart intuitively from what we see going on.

But the idea that because it doesnt "seem" that electrical activity in the brain could account for consciousness so we are going to suppose that some supernatural force is involved, something not only outside scientific understanding, but also AT ODDS with scientific understanding, is a crackpot assumption that really has no epistemological value.

basically, if you are interested in reality, then stic to science, or philosophical ideas that are closely attached to science.

No offense op, but people like you are the main reason i talk so much shit about the half brained wackjobs that infect facebook science groups.
