Went up to Francis peak yesterday and found this beauty:
there is also a pile just above it where I found a metal rail that someone had just seshed. Not quite enough snow for me but I just thought I would let all of you Utah NS'ers know.

Obviously not considering you claim the Timpanogos Glacier is not a glacier. Regardless, I already knew that information, I did not use a search engine to find it. I linked the Wikipedia articles because I assumed you would deny the facts I posted if I didn't post a source. If you think that Gunsight is a "ribbon of death" then you must really suck at skiing seeing as it is quite easy to ski, and I don't see why you mention it here since I did not bring it up ITT (or the fact that I skied the Timpanogos Glacier) unless you're jealous because you suck at skiing and/or are too lazy to hike to snow during summer. I do not currently have avalanche knowledge as I do not have avalanche training, I've only lived in the mountains for one year, so I don't see why I would give others "avalanche knowledge". The only thing I ever tell others regarding avalanches is to take avalanche training, read Snow Sense, get avalanche gear, and go with others who also have training and gear. I don't currently ski backcountry during winter/spring because I don't have avalanche training/gear yet but I hopefully will have that by next winter.

I don't have much tech knowledge, I never denied that. That has nothing to do with skiing ability. I don't have avalanche training because I'm new to the mountains, I never needed it before. I am planning to take it next winter.
Ski with me sometime. Both you and SkiBum. Let's play GNAR and see who is really a better skier. When a Midwesterner who just moved to the mountains and has never skied backcountry in his life skis lines that will make you cry to your mom for the bunny hill, maybe that will shut you up.

if it took ya 9 hours to ski timp you should be able to do the 15 min bootpack in under an hour.

stick to the turd and pound out tram laps w/ the rest of the full face 18 din agro tram monkiees and get a blog to tell everyone how gnarly fuckin rad you are.
ps let us know how your skiing ablility works when an clueless dolt can't figure out what the toe height adjustment on your binders does.

it def takes me longer to read his posts and translate them. he and skibum are both knowledgeable guys and it shows in their posts, but unfortunately they are both sorta into hating on people they perceive to be less dynafit/granola than them and usually offer only as much information as is needed to criticize other posts.
i can understand, because i lean more toward that kind of skiing nowadays and it is true that NS is chock full of complete idiots (not referring to shadow here) but i do wish they'd tone down the attitude and post fuller thoughts, they both have a lot of knowledge and wisdom to share
