casualI'd get an epic if I were you. For one, a lazy google map check confirms what I thought, you're pretty much only 10 minutes further away from Vail than you are Aspen. And, not for nothing, if you make Vail you're go to mountain, you'll always kind of be against traffic, which on the I-70 corridor is huge. In the am, you'll head east while the rest of the front range and Denver head west, and vice versa in the afternoons.
The epic pass is by far the better value against what Aspen has to offer. Hell, you can pretty much on a whim decide if you feel like skiing Vail or BC. When I moved to Summit and had the epic pass a few years, we would wake up at 6 or so, check the snow reports and webcams or opensnow and just make the call on that alone. It's pretty cool to have that kind of variety, and keeps things fresh.
I love Glenwood Springs, it's a really beautiful place, but just out of curiosity why did you guys move there specifically? Was it a job? I just ask because if you were moving somewhere to ski primarily, it seems a little far.
