crustedbafoonShouldn't a normal 90 on be a ski slide and going on straight be called a 50/50?
Minggokay not to sound like a newb. But I've heard people say 90ing on is 50-50 and I've heard them call it a ski slide. And going on forward I've heard 50-50 and ski slide. So like which the fuck is it.

Paul.50-50 is going straight on a rail/box. Sliding sideways is called a ski slide by some people, but honestly that just sounds a little gay.
ParryWithAnASki slide (or nugget) is just going onto a rail strait with one foot off the rail.
Going onto the rail 90 is called a grind.

Double_Rainbowsliding sideways = hitting a rail
one foot off forwards/skis side by side forwards is a 50/50
crustedbafoonSkiing took on the whole blunt slide/ tail press from skating, so what about ski slides? A board slide is a 90 on and a rail slide is just grinding on the trucks. So Shouldn't a normal 90 on be a ski slide and going on straight be called a 50/50?
FabseMis this then also called a 50/50?

SIMPLE.50-50 is like riding normal i.e. right/left foot forward and then pretzling to 50-50 and/or when both skis are on the box or rail.
whereas ski slide is basically a one footed 5050
