OregonDeadUse the google to look up Plantar fasciitis. It's super common and it sounds just like what you are describing. Proper fitting boots/shoes are essential. Ice and rest are a good bet for short term relief and stretch for prevention.
OregonDead^when I did PT the therapist had me really focus on my hamstrings and calf muscles. She explained that the bottoms of the feet are basically a part of a connected system that includes everything on the back of legs. My therapist had me focus on the posterior thigh muscles(hamstrings) and calf muscles because they are the strongest muscles in this system.
spaceghostpurpthat happened to me and i just wore skate shoes as apposed to shoes with arch support. it makes no sense but it worked and here i am with skateshoes and happy feet!
Profahoben_212Go to a podiatrist and make sure you haven't actually torn anything.
Then go to a boot fitter and get some custom inserts that have proper arch support. That should fix the problem.
K_JIBSu mean skate insoles
K_JIBSah poped in to the local store and showed em my insole and they said my insole where deformed and not providing me with support and that my arch was dropping so i got hooked up with a pair of sidas insoles and used em that night and came back with no pain
-DawnPatrolGet custom foot beds. A lot of bootfitters do them. Surefoot here in Killington will do a pressure profile and custom fit your boot.
Sh4dowGetting custom footbeds might help, make sure to get them from a good bootfitter. EpicSki has a list of good bootfitters
