in case of a delam, edge blow, or if you want a different graphic. some kinda new edge in the base too. he said that they picked up one of the vokl ski graphic artists too and that they look pretty sick.

Ya that is with bindings to from what I hearfrom a AFT Whistler big mountain team member. So all you guys should go buy 2 pairs and you'll have 3 pairs then. Hhaha nice

This is correct, you get 3 skis when u purchase them although they will cost 1.5 times as much as a pair of skis. So you pay for the 3rd one, you do not get it free.

The retail price in New Zealand will be $1400+ for the Triplets and the other twins are $999.00 NZ$ so you are paying extra for them.Not 1.5 times but 1.4 times so pleae accept my apologies.

Well think about what it says about the company first of all...it says that if you buy are skies chances are they are going to break..therefore we are giving you one for free so that when they do break you can have a back up...this must be the case. Think about it. For it to be more profitable for them to include a 'free' ski then it would be to just warranty the broken ones means that a good majority of the skis must break...I am not going to explain the economics of it and all the returns and extra profit from increases in sales do to marketing and yada yada yada...just think about it on your own

ive never had a problem with the durability of the Tweaks. ive had some topsheet chipping problems but its just eye candy. ive been skiing on one pair since the middle of last year and its holding up amazingly (this is including summer camp), and my pair before that held me for almost 2 seasons....sooo yeah...bitches

Gretch, durability is not an issue with Atomics, I assure you. I weigh about 200lbs and ski about 100 days a year on the current Tweaks and have been on this version of the ski for 3 years, I've broken a Total of 3 skis in that time, all 3 of which I would have expected to break. for the most part you will ski the bases off before you break these skis.

Woolfy, I'm sorry to tell you but you're getting shafted in NZ, they're price point in North Amerca is approx the same price as 1080's, but for a thousand times better ski.

In general if there were to be a third ski (Not that I'm saying there is) but if there were, and you could purchase, or had, bindings for all 'three' skis then think of it this way, you ski enough days on your skis (Whether they break or not) they start getting beat, with a 'Third' ski you could rotate your skis so you get an even amount of wear and tear on all the skis thus increasing the life of your skis. Also, if all 'three' skis were to have a totally individual graphic then it would be like having 3 totally different pairs of skis.

How many of you guys have blown your edges sliding rails? how many of these skis have been accepted on warranty? more park skiers blow edges (not covered by warranty) than break skis (covered) what if one of these sets of skis were also designed to prolong the life of your edges, perhaps with a grind insert, or some other type of reenforcement therefore increasing the life of your skis even more. believe it or not there was alot of thought put into these skis.

Oh yeah, the Graphics kick ass too.

I still think it is a gay ass idea...as far as different graphics...what are we Chicks that need to match thier purse to thier outfits...I mean who really cares..rotating the skis so they last longer...also a dumb way to make your skis last longer...if I am going to have multiple pairs of skis they are going to be different types of skis for different riding situations...I did not mean to imply that thier skis don't last...I ment to say that is what the market perception will be...don't you think if this was such a great idea someone else would have done it already...I mean it is not like they invented a whole new type of ski they are just giving you three....I still think it is dumb and when you look at thier income statement a year after the release of the triplets it will show how bad the idea really was

Seriously rex who is going to have an extra binding laying around to mount three skis? You would have to buy two sets of bindings then throw one out so you can use it on your third ski....what a dumb idea. But its atomic so what do you expect.

Dspin... people do break bindings... nevermind all the other things that can go wrong with a ski... for people that ski enough, it shouldn't be too hard to find an extra binding.

I bet you money I ski more than you. Im still a poor college kid though who cant go out and afford to buy two pairs of b indings so I can put one binding on my third ski. Thats rediculous. And if one of my bindings breaks I just send it back and get a new pair.

To me it just seems like atomic is trying to hard to come up with some great ground breaking idea to get business. So instead they came up with this piece of shit idea. How about just focusing on TWO skis that dont suck ass before you go on to three?

Tosh, 'If' there were a third ski then there would be a binding package available that gave you three bindings, you wouldn't have to mount these bindings if you didn't want to but they would be made available if the consumer chose to get them.

i just dont see the cost of purchasing an extra ski (IF THIS IS THE IDEA) that who know's how many time you will use and and extra binding when adviously they will cost more. Heck they arent just going to give you a ski and a binding they need to make money.
You could take that extra $ and just buy new skis and bindings

What a terrible idea. how bout this little fact= skis wear in, get softer, chip and scratch, ect. if you tossed a new ski on to replace a broken one, it would be like riding a completely different ski. plus, it would look retarded. three skis? thats such a bad idea. who the fuck would want to ski on a brand new ski, and a beat to shit, missing and cracked edge ski? fuck that. if the whole three ski thing is true, its straight up stupid.
