Bindings for Sir francis bacons

Hey everyone, i'm 5'8 130 lb's and am looking for a solid all mountain binding to mount on my new line sir francis bacon's. I was looking at the Salomon STH2 but i don't want a touring binding. I know they work for both but i've rather have more emphasis on all mountain. Let me know what you guys think. I do not want to spend more than $180 and the brakes need to be at least 110mm to fit the 108mm waist of the ski.

Yea i miss worded what i meant to say. I guess i don't want to commit to a binding that essentially has its' technology split to accommodate touring boots. Would rather have a good binding 100% dedicated to alpine skiing.

The sth2 is one of the best, if not the best, alpine bindings on the the market.

The fact that it can accommodate touring boots does not hurt it literally at all and actually helps it.

Get the STH2. It is not designed for AT, it is designed for WTR. Different technology. Different specs. Different patent. I have STH2s which I use for 100% alpine, I don't even have WTR boots. I am probably getting another pair of STH2s for my newest skis.

If you really have to have something else, Rossi FKS and Look Pivot are good too, but just go with the STH2, they're very solid bindings.

Also, brakes do not have to be 110 to accomodate a 108mm ski. You can go a few mm narrower and shop techs can bend the brakes. I have 115mm brakes on my 117mm skis and 130mm brakes on my 131mm skis. It's better to be a bit narrow than a bit wide. 110 brakes would be fine, but if you can't find 110s, go lower, not higher. Even 100s would probably work fine, but I haven't gone that much narrower so ask a tech at your local ski shop (what ever shop you'll have the bindings mounted at) and make sure they can make an 8mm narrower brake work.

^ to an extent you should go bigger though. If you had the choice between 95mm or 115 mm brakes on a 108 ski, Definately go for the 115.

I wouldn't go above 12-15 mm wider brakes than your waist. They start catching and will break easier.

So just to confirm everything in this thread. The sth2 is a alpine binding which an accept wtr soles but not touring soles. The warden is the salomon binding which can accept touring soles. Th sth2 is I think the best all round binding available currently and should e the first choice for most skiers unless your on a real budget ten attacks are awesome.
