Like $600? I dunno much about that CPU but its only $190 retail.

Why dont you just look up how much every part is on google and price it out?

$600 seems about right, depends on use and specifics, but I don't think it would sell for more than $700 even if it was like new

Microcenter is super legit. I'm living near detroit for the summer and I've been to the one here a few times. Awesome selection, and great prices. I got a gtx 660 for $135 (open box), and then the protection plan was $20 (also has a $15 rebate I still need to fill out). They said if it breaks, replacement is free, but if they don't have any open box, they will replace it with a new one. The guys there also usually know what they are talking about, even what aftermarket parts are compatible with mac pros.

You can actually check on their website, and select your store. There are sections for open box and refurbished. It tells you what is in stock. Occasionally they will have additional models in stock, but it is usually very accurate. They also usually have really good deals on the new intel processors, like $50 under retail for the i5/i7. In store only, but that doesn't sound like it will be an issue.

Also check out pcpartpicker.com, it can help you keep track of everything, and has options like choosing in store. Toms hardware has good reviews and very helpful hierarchy charts. They let you compare older stuff to the new models so you can find deals in terms of price/performance. Tonymac is good if you want to do hackintosh, and for that and more video related concerns (cuda/performance), many guys on here know quite a bit. I'm on mobile, but later I can take a look at your budget/and see what a potential build would be.

You could knock the price down if you wanted to, especially if you shopped at microcenter.

Keep in mind this doesn't include a keyboard, mouse, monitor, or operating system. I'll leave finding those up to you.
