Spray painting helmets

Ive got a blue POC receptor bug helmet from a few years back and I want to change things up. The idea is going to be to use a matte black spray paint and cover all of the helmet and paint it all black. Anyone ever tried this and have any advice on doing it?

no experience, but if you fell and your helmet made contact with the snow wouldent it take the paint off

Paint could weaken the helmet, make sure it's a type that won't do that.

NO. Don't do it. After like 1 day and 3 falls mine was pealing from like 4 different spots and it was a disaster. If there's some kind of clear coat that you could use to make that not happen then go for it but just plastidip sucks.
