First off which rocker 2 are you looking at. There is the 122, 108, and 100mm. I'm guessing it the 100 a tht is the closeest to the kertel 98. The rocker 100 is a really fun little ski. It uses the honeycomb tip and tail as well as losing the sidewall and edge in the tips. This makes the ski so light swing weight wise and it's really ease to pivot and skid. The flex is mid stiff underfoot and mid in the tup and tail. Th stiffness mixed with the camber mean you can rail this ski pterty hard. They have a large rocker so they are super playful but the mid stiffness keeps them stable. overall a super fun all mnt jib ski.
I have not not skie the kartel but I own te jmo which is the badis for the kartel. They are certainly heavier but they are still agile. The swing weight is heavier with the full sidewall. They are softe in the tip an tail and also underfoot making them very buttery and easy to jib on. Personally I find tem a little soft for skiin hard on groomers but where try shine is pow. They are amazing in soft snow. The large symetrical rocker gives a very solid base an you feel very balanced on th ski. they will also be more durable in the park as they are built more like a traditional park ski. But one thing to consider is sizing. You may want to go a size smaller then the salomon as on3p come up bigger then most skis.
