Color Correction

I'm wondering if any of you guys know good websites, articles, books, etc. on how to properly grade footage. Or however you learned to do it. I've been working in Premiere Pro and it is shot on a Canon DSLR. I've just been getting more into narrative filmmaking and want to start producing a higher quality look, but I'm not sure where to start as far as manual color correction. Any info is great.

Check this out, it's a little advanced but you can definitely use some of the info he teaches on a smaller scale in less advanced suites. It's all about the look you're going for, temperature and mood. Just look up different color schemes and various movies they are used in.

Find some books on painting/color theory. That's where the bulk of the knowledge is. After that, just learn how to use the software and you'll be on the right track.

If you really want to get good at color correction/grade then get the program Adobe Speedgrade. Its super complicated but its great once you understand it.
