"Sierra Leone’s president declared a state of emergency Thursday over the largest outbreak of the Ebola virus in history, drafting in security forces and placing restrictions on movement to combat the spread of the deadly virus.
Ebola has infected more than 1,200 people in three West African countries, and killed close to 700 of them. The outbreak received extra media attention when two Americans became infected, and a Liberian man with family in the United States died."
The largest ever Ebola outbreak continues to go on in northwestern Africa, with over 1,200 infected and 700 dead. Worse than this is that most fear that the outbreak will only continue to grow in the upcoming weeks.
Ebola is some scary shit with its around 60% mortality rate, and it is not a pleasant way to go out either. While most experts say that the chance of it leaving the African continent is highly unlikely, it will be interesting to see if it actually will. Especially since it is only getting worse.
