NillionI remember seeing a pair on eBay the other day. They ran north of $100 though.
ctraceYeah I saw those but the reason theyre so expensive is that they are an entire baseplate setup, I'm just looking for the brakes

Pipe_Munkywelcome to FKS bindings...
_J.T.well guess if you really think about it, fks are supposed to save your knees..... which costs more, a couple thousand dollars for an acl surgery, or 130 bucks for a new brake....
tomPietrowskiThey will in no way save your knees any more then any other alpine binding.
Strange.Journey.fairly certain that if you just send in the bindings to rossi they will send them back with the size brakes you want
NillionI've always wondered if there is any data to support this assertion. Even if it's some informal poll at a forum comparing torn ACLs to binding type used when it occurred.
Huck_NorrisSeriously, I have no idea why anyone who land switch with any regularity would want to deal with the FKS brakes.
I scored a pair of 155s a while back without brakes because someone broke them and simply sold them at massive discount rather than find brakes haha
KingTacoevery bindings brakes will get fucked up if you land switch wrong. fks may be a touch more tempermental than others. But at the end of the day if you eject switch youre asking for your brakes to get destroyed.
Profahoben_212He isn't saying they are more likely to break, he is saying that when they break they are like 3 to 4 times more expensive to replace than other bindings. So it is dumb to use them if you are landing switch a lot because you will eventually have to fork over $120 instead of $30.
