MinggA few other members and myself are putting together comps around the US For this winter. We want to have a park comp at park city. Pretty much what we need is someone who wants to help organize the comp and run it the day it's scheduled for. Also, it would be helpful to have a local help out because if we need local company sponsors it would be a lot easier. However we haven't really discussed that yet.. Were still trying to figure out the details and the more people we can get to help out the better.
I.Bso pretty much you want to have a competition but you want Park City locals to do all the work

Sh4dowSome more info on the comps since people seem confused:
There will be regional comps in the Northwest, Midwest, and East, then comps in Utah that double as Rocky Mountain regional and as final.
There will be big mountain comps set up like GNAR (a combination of competition and game), and there will be park comps (big air and/or rail jam).
I am overseeing the Utah part for the most part, but I only ski big mountain, not park, and I have never been to PCMR. What we need from a PC local is mostly help in deciding the venue (where on the mountain to host the comp) and maybe some other small things. I'll still do what I can to help and I'll be at PC the day of the comp to help run things, but since I am not a park skier and have never been to PCMR it would be nice to have some help from someone who is a park skier and PC local.
Al.CaponeI get that part and it's super cool but even though it might be a weird question, do you guys have the funds for this? How much does it cost to run a comp with regional and final comps?
SkiBum.You know you have to check with resorts before you do events right? You can't just set your own event up...
Sh4dowIt depends on how we do it. If we had stuff set up like the FWT then yeah we'd need to organize it with the ski area management but not if we just play GNAR and have an unofficial park comp.
PC.JibberHave fun trying to close one of the runs for a park comp without the resort's permission. Either that, or have fun having a comp with lots of other inunvolved people on the same run.
