I don't think it was ever easy to make a living as a photographers, human beings are inherently just damn fcking lazy. Those who whine about it probably weren't that good or driven in the first place, and who would guess that BETTER young photographers with fancy cameras are 'stealing their jobs'. Joel Meyerowitz makes a great point in Everybody Street; how that digital technology isn't bad at all, but that is has enabled more people to make better work than ever before...
