Looks like they are gonna have an action packed season. This is the trailer released at Comic-Con. They more or less reveal how they get out of the train car too. If you don't wanna see that, don't watch.

Soap opera and once in a while a few zombies show up to ruin it but they're easily killed off and people are able to go back to being over dramatic.

I mean you have endless amounts of zombies. You'd think they could do enough with that. Fuck mindless drama. I think I made it part way through season 3 and called it quits.

Dead people are walking the streets but lets fight over who likes who and that one person that was mean and how this person isn't real. It's like the jersey shore with zombies.

Yea, thats kinda what i am hoping will happen. But i could also see them dragging that journey out over like 2 seasons or more

yeah, used to be fun to watch but about the time when they were getting sick at the prison i tuned out. seemed like they were just rehashing the same thing every week.

Agreed its been tanking, the entire first half of last season was all bullshit filler, shit was boring as fuck, pretty sure they're just milking the cash cow at this point.

The first season was the only truly good season with all good episodes but there were only 6. After that half the episodes have been filler.

This is a pretty damn accurate summary of the series . A woman I work with just started getting into this show because 'she loves the drama between the different characters'. Go watch a housewives of miami show you dumb bitch

That said this trailer was pretty exciting, I hope it lives up to the survival/cure aspect of the show that was a focal point of season 1

That's how it was designed to be. It's a narrative on the interaction between people and it's supposed to show the super dark side of humanity. There's a quote from Darabont somewhere, that's like life after the apocalypse and zombies just happen to be there.

Zombie killing gets old as fuck. I would take a deep story if it meant 5 minutes less of seeing waves of zombies get offed.


Also RIP Glenn, Maggie, Bob, Darryl and Tyreese. It was nice knowing you.

I don't mind a deep story either. I get that you can't just kill somebodies 59 out of 60 minutes every episode. IT doesn't need to be a fucking soap.

The writing just sucks. Then again I'm probably on my own. People obviously like mindless drama as shitty reality shows are the coolest thing since sliced bread. Even the ones that would be interesting have all kinds of bullshit drama inserted "to make it interesting".

Get a good story line, get some good dialogue, kill some zombies and go with that. I'm pretty sure at the end of the world there would be better things to fight about. There would be chaos and drama, but it would consist of" OH EM GEE did you use my hairbrush?" random clip of zombie walking "OH EM GEE you like her and not me?" another random clip of zombie "OH EM GEE you're like the fakest fake person out here you slut" Another random clip of a zombie, maybe a kill.

I'll agree with the shitty writing. I think anytime you go from a brilliant mind like Darabont who was only signed through Season 1 to anybody else, there is an extreme drop off. That being said they have had some decent moments, but others have been painfully slow. I'm lukewarm on the show, I feel it gets viewership on it's reputation and there is a real lack of trying from the people who put it out. I wasn't that blown away with the Season 5 trailer.

Exactly. This is my point too, usually people aren't doing anything on a Sunday night at that time besides watching TV. I mean if I have nothing else going on I'll catch it, but if I miss it one week I won't be searching to watch the episode online at all.

Apparently there's a lot of discussion about the possibility of Daryl being gay. People seem pretty pissed at the idea that he is gay. Would be funny because the whole "If Daryl dies we riot" movement might severely shrink in size due to the fact that he might be gay. So dumb.

Thats why Breaking Bad gets so much respect. Vince Gilligan made the decision early on to end it sooner than later. He didn't want the show to get watered down and wanted it to end well, not as if they were trying to get a shit ton of money. Good Guy Gilligan.

Yeah last season was awful and they dragged it on for so long. I'd totally forgotten about that trailer, this could be promising, the whole Terminus thing was such a cliffhanger! I also really want to know wtf happened to Beth.

As for anyone hating, if you don't like it don't watch it, its that fucking simple. No reason to try and ruin the fun for those that enjoy it on an otherwise boring Sunday night.

The first season was easily the best with them going to the CDC and trying to find the cause/cure which is an aspect they ditched from season 2-4. Now they have that one guy trying to get to DC so hopefully it gets exciting again but knowing the walking dead, they'll draw out the dc thing for another 3 seasons.

yeah the guys from terminus will have a big role in this season, no doubt. garreth or whatever his name was is fucking nuts, but i like the way it showed him and his team in the same position, in the train car and struggling for survival when they did the flash back to terminus being overtaken.

which made sense when they were leading rick and company through the buildings and out to the back. when they were inside that building that had "trust, never again, etc" written all over the walls, so you can see that they were once a safe haven and driven to madness by having horrible things happen to them.

by the way, that whole concept of "institutional evil" is creepy as fuck. cracking heads and slitting throats so methodically, clipboards and checklists, human carcasses scattered around precisely drilled and sawed into various parts and hanging like at a butchery.. yikes.

Like you said It's kind of strange when they showed them in the cart in the same possition rock and the crew was in before. My brain for a second forgave them and considered how much pain they went through, like Rick.

Very interesting episode indeed.

Episode 5.1 was probably my favorite episode since the pilot. I really like the way that the show is addressing good vs. evil without episode long discussions I.e. All of season 2.

The episode was awesome. I thought they did a great job of bringing the core of what the viewers loved about the show. Zombie killing, action, and survival. I really enjoyed it and if this season stays this fast paced I will be very excited.

And where the fuck is BETH.
