What is the gnarliest line you've ever dropped in to?
probably a double black here in wisco. now before you judge me, it was my first year skiing last year so it was kind of a big deal for me haha.
it wasnt very long but what the run contained made it pretty gnarly. the first bit was basically moguls on the steepest hill ive ever been on, followed by like 50 feet of ice you have to gun it through since its so steep, and then more moguls. then mixed in those 'moguls' there were 2 "cliffs" which were really just boulders sticking out that led into 6-8 foot drops that arent really much, but for a first year skiier like me was pretty crazy.
the whole run was really fucked up and dangerous but the fact i made it down that thing was pretty awesome. my dad got it on camera too ill try and get the footage, its funny to watch
I live/ski on the east coast, but on my trip to Utah this past winter I hiked up to some chutes off of the Allen's Peak Tram at Snowbasin and that was easily the most fun and rewarding run I've ever done. Pretty much that whole week I got to push myself and ski terrain that is way harder than anything back home.
Hahaha didnt say I did it clean either. Everything went smoothly for about 30-40 feet and then my left ski got squirrelly and kicked out and sent me rag dolling down. Hey, at least I gave it a go
in telluride I rode a 50 degree mandatory strait line with a mandatory 20 foot drop at the end into a sidehill landing. the whole thing was absolute boiler plate.
Anywhere from the top of Bec Des Rosses, Verbier Switzerland. I have skied the dogleg couloir and central couloir. Terrified every year but somehow still looking forward to it. It had always been on my bucket list.

My first pillow line...I stumbled across this while getting lost outside Winter Park. It wasn't super gnarly but just a different style of skiing. I didn't hit the upper tip section because they were huggeee, the picture doesn't do it justice.
as a skier from a 700 ft east coast hill, for the 3rd time in my life i was skiing out west, at the gnarliest mtn i had ever been to, alta. after attempting to traverse to the bowl in the right of this picture, i actually found myself on top on gunsight. if you've never skied it, the traverse there itself is pretty intense for an east coast skier and i definitely didn't want to go back down it so i sent it.
to the left of the big rock in the middle of the ridge is where gunsight starts.
In the finals of the 2010 Canadian Open Freeskiing competition at Red Mountain I dropped in to what is in the summer time an 50 foot cliff face right at the top of Mt. Roberts. That winter there was enough snow in sections that I turned it into a triple drop. I stuck out the cliff section, but couldn't get my shit together before gunning it through the trees in the run-out... Ended up pin-wheeling after trying to cut left. luckily I didn't kill myself going mach into the the trees and my ski boot caught most of the impact... The judges didn't see the crash because the treeline was covered by a ridge line in their view.
Definitely the scariest/dumbest line I've done, as the run-out was skied out and covered with trees. I'd consider hitting it again if there was 2 feet of the fresh stuff waiting for me at the bottom...
two different angles of my line at 1:37 and 1:49 of the above vid. Jim Jack (S.I.P.) talks for the first minute and a half of the vid.
No, I mean Allen's Peak Tram at Snowbasin. It's on Allens Peak, I don't know of any 'Hidden Peak' at Snowbasin though I think you're confusing it with Snowbird.
Last day at the hill the only snow in the woods was next to a double black. My friends and I decided to ski it. It was fun soft snow but at the end there was one path. Really steep, some cliffs, and sketchy
