Replying to Skis suddenly terrible to ski on...

Yo,
so this year i got a new pair of skis and rode them for a day or two, then went back to my old skis from the season before to thrash in the park so i don't fuck up my good new skis... however the old skis (used in park for 3 seasons) are so terrible to ski now and i dont know why, they feel like they are gripping when i side slip (have been properly waxed) and are super slow. Is it just im used to my new skis or has anyone experienced something like this before?
