I never said he wasn't a golf legend. My point is rather than showing him walking around and standing around, show other golfers.

Just putting it out there, complaining about how a tv network covers a sporting event is pretty much pointless. They want to show the most dramatic thing possible so they cover the top 5 and then someone like tiger.

But, I'm missing the entire issue with this thread, the last two rounds of the Open showed tiger like 5 times total, he was irrelevant after he almost missed the cut. But he's a big story, just had back surgery and everyone is wondering if he'll win another major.

Your right and he will always be a main focus for golf, but with all the other big names and new risers, there is a lot more going on in golf. I get why they do it and I get why people love Tiger! The dude is always having some kind of surgery nowadays it seems like.

never been a tiger fan, and im kinda hoping he doesnt make the ryder cup team, top 9 is stacked already and i bet keegan and phil will get two watson's picks. but without tiger all the jabronis wouldnt care to watch so chances are he'll be on it.

pimp tiger woods may be the best account on twitter though

Didn't follow the last tournament but I got a kick out of the headlines in the paper.

It read something like, "after finishing 20 strokes behind the leader in his worst PGA showing, tiger says he would still pick himself for the Ryder cup".

When Tiger's game is on, he is pretty incredible to watch and I would love to see that again, but I have my doubts that it's going to happen again.

As an human being, I have absolutely no respect for him. After years and years of hearing how much of a dick he is, you would think there would be one or two stories kicking around about him being a decent person, but I've never heard any.

There's no way that it'll ever be the way it was. The shots that man would make were nothing short of miracles. Back in his prime, he would still be a bit cocky, but it would kinda go unnoticed because the game of golf actually looked too easy for him.

Tiger Woods will go down in history for the way he has played the game of golf. He is an incredible golfer.

That being said, I don't know if he will win another major. Young guns like Rickie, Rory, DJ, and many others are on the edge of being in their prime. Rory is finally able to follow his first rounds with exceptional playing throughout the rest of the tournaments. The competition gets better every year. AND you still got players like Phil, Fred Couples, TOM WATSON who is over 60 and still playing on tour. Not saying what Tiger did messed his game up for the worst but..Karma is a BITCH

He did progress the game of golf. If 75% of the viewers are only watching for Tiger then they are oblivious to what's happening in golf.

And they haven't been watching any because Tiger can't qualify.

Exactly..... Ratings will always sky rocket if Tiger is leading a tournament or is expected to win.... If Tiger doesn't have much influence then usually the ratings are a lot lower. Golf networks glorify Tiger to increase ratings and make the oblivious high handicap golfer enjoy watching it so much more... I know its frustrating.

I know why they do it and frustrating is an understatement. I want to see a hole-in-one happen, not a replay because they chose to show Tiger pickin a wedgie.
