I need a mid-fat do it all ski

I'm looking to buy new skis this year. I've decided I want a fatter all mountain ski. I ski like 40% park and 60% groomers/ all mountain. I'm 5' 10 and 159 lbs. I'm an advanced/expert skier who has skied for about 12 years.

Skis I've looked at: k2 shreditor 102, On3p jeromimo, on3p jeffrey(Ive heard very good things about the jeffrey)
Sparknotes: waist width no longer than 110-112, not chattery, good on hard pack and groomers, good swing weight, not heavy
Keep in mind I ski about 95% in michigan so it's mostly hard pack, ice, groomers, crud so I want a ski that's good for that, it doesn't have to be the best powder ski because we don't get any(pow)

When is that coming out? And also I found a good price on the Jeffrey which is why I like it better. 430 rather than 650

if you get no pow, I wldnt see the need for something as wide as the jeffrey. For the description of what you ski / need a ski for, wldnt go wider than 100 underfoot.

i would get some SFBs if i were in your position. i had them a couple seasons ago as a single ski quiver and they were really fun all over the mountain and especially in the park for being 108 underfoot.

I second the devastators but also recommend the Fat-y-pus LToro. It's a 101 waist and camber underfoot so you know you'll be carving with no problem in that Michigan weather. The Toro comes with early rise in the tip and tail as well so when you do get the chance to ski powder you'll be set. It's an effortless turn with a radius of 22m you'll be able to get it edge to edge no problem. Since you'll be skiing 40% park you'll want it to hold up and they're bombproof. You'll find yourself finding jibs and tranny's all over the mountain, they're playful, and kill it absolutely everywhere.

If the ski you choose has a few supported mount points and you use the interchangability on your current schizo's, then go for another set!

Ski wise, thats a slammin deal on the Jeronimo's, and though the Jeffrey is amazing I'd probably still point you to the J-mo for Michigan. Unless you have some big trips out West in the works. Kartel would do okay, but if you want something fairly stiff that can rail, an old J'mo might be your ticket. Stiffer than the Shreditor for sure.

About the same as the Jmo and Jeffery. Fairly stiff, but still able to be buttered...basically they can turn hard and go fast while staying stable, but still be buttered because of rocker.

If you got $$$ On3p or Factions are a good choice. Candide 2.0s(come with 2 year warranty)or jeronimos sound like a solid fit for you.

Jeronimo sounds pretty spot on. Especially if you like to bomb down the hill. Very stable at speed. 181 maybe for your size, or 176

I spent the entire season here in Ontario on the Shreditor 102 and it was great. Similar conditions with lots of ice and groomers...super fun ski

none of the above. I'm riding the rossi slats. been riding street park and powder, best ski I've ever hd. no edge cracks the top sheets are strong as fuck, hardly any top sheet damage compared to other brands.

Where in Michigan? And you might want to look at something more narrow underfoot, nothing here needs something fat underfoot

You live in Michigan. Don't buy a ski wider than 100. The Kartel 98 would be perfect for you.

Glad someone else said rossignol slats, great skis. Rocked them all last season and they performed really well. I mostly skied park but the pow days were amazing with them. They're only 97 under foot though, but it sounds like something that would be good for you

I go to Pine knob, and i know i don't need fatter ski but I prefer the feel of wider skis over narrower skis

if you don't get any pow than why do you want a mid-fat ski? but if you really want a good mid-fat do it everything ski i would go with the sir francis bacons by line or the moment obj.

I forgot to mention I do have a k2 recoil right now so I won't exactly have a "one ski quiver".

kartel 98... i am sticking by my statement that a ski over 100 is stupid in MI. have fun jibbing (or doing whatever you do in MI) on a ski that big and heavy. 98 is still a decently fat ski.

The jmo is a great all mnt jib ski but they don't hold an edg too well on ice. They are a pretty soft ski witg a ton a rocker which makes them supper fun in fresh but I find them a bit soft to ski hard when it's packed hard or icy. Personally I would loo for something a bit stiffer if you still want to charge around. But if you want soft and buttery they are an awesome choice.

And yeah, I do like skis that are fairly buttery and playful

They are auper buttery and playful I love them to jib about on an as I said in soft snow or soft pack they are amazing. But on ice or hard pack I find them a little chattery a Speed. I'm 5'11 and 170 so not small an I do ski hard and fast. I also like stiffer skis so I'm used to skiin something stiffer.

I would say if you are used to park skis and want a softer buttery all mnt ski the jmo is an awesome choice. But if you want a ski to charge on ice an hard pack they may not suit, but I don't think that is what you want so I would say go for them.
