Dolan.EscobarMy brother keeps telling me that you can mod a nissan gtr to 1200 hp (veyron territory) and it will be reliable at that spec and not get horrible milage. Im kind of incredulous about it though..
Would it be reliable? What about an aftermarket turbo on an sti like limon curriers 500 hp beast sti?
Well first of all the GTR gets terrible mpg's for a 6 cylinder, stock.
The more hp/tq you put through any motor and drivetrain the more it will break and or wear out faster. That just the nature of the beast. Now people can combat that, by building strong motors, and drive train, but in the end stuff breaks a lot more on high hp cars. It also has a lot to do with how you drive it. Are you reving the shit out of it, high speed corners, and breaking. Basically every input you put into your car causes some sort of wear. Kinda the same principle as every single time you start your car, or move it, your putting wear on the parts.
My good friend has a gtr, that has about 900 hp. Fast as fuck! It is reliable, but it also does break a decent amount. That being said he beats the piss out of it on the track and street, so it is expected.
Holy hell does that car go through tires fast. 10- 15k miles and they are done. Due to the aggressive camber, and different sized front and back tires which don't allow you to rotate them.
