Peter.the launch of this game got SHIT on by the release of the demo for smash bros 4 and the actual game in japan. still seems like a cool game though


To be fair Super Smash Bros is pretty much religion over there.

And western games never do well in Japan.

I play pretty much ever Friday and Saturday night in the wee hours of the morning after everyone has gone to bed. (12am-2am MST)

its a fun game. they nailed the gameplay, but it's horrendously repetitive and too many things just weren't thought out, and it's lead to nerfs, rebuffs, changes, patches, all kinds of stuff within a 6 week period.

i know most games aren't totally smooth upon launch, but it's all the fundamentals that should really be there and aren't. you have to know that having a purely rng based game with little reward, all chance, no chat or communication, no trading system between players, and no variety in how you play and what you're actually playing isn't going to go over well.

I was playing with my buddies and we were talking about this. I said it feels like a game that was designed by true gamers, but actually developed by old dudes who dont play games.
