Anyone give the alpha a try? I managed to snag a key, which convinced me to pre-order and get beta access. Will anyone on NS be playing over the next week?

Definetly worth buying a next gen console for the games coming out. Destiny is amazing I have been playing one the x1 recently. Also yeah halo is coming out soon and that should also be amazing.

I was thinking about picking up a pre-order for the beta access. I just don't know if I will play much of the full game because it's based on subscription service. I don't play those types of games. I am already paying for PS Plus I don't want to have to pay for anything else Be it yearly or monthly. I pay enough to play games.

I don't think you have to pay a subscription to play the game... I'm pretty sure what you're talking about is just going to be like call of duty elite. Just where you get like more maps or something to that extent.

ok. I'm all for like those things that will give you deals on all the little packs and micro transactions that slowly build up in price.


I remembered hearing about that somewhere that the final version of destiny was going to be pay to play and that you wouldn't need PS plus to play online just the Destiny paid subscription. It looks as if they have done away with that idea. I might have to pick this up after all.

Exactly! It's why I don't have the new Final Fantasy(dunno if it's your cup of tea). I was like cool new Final fantasy and it looks awesome. Then found out it was was a monthly subscription to play the game. My immediate reaction was "Why do I want to pay to play a game that I'm not going to be playing 100% of the time". Just makes you think all the company is saying "I know you worked hard for your money but fork over all of your hard earned cash because we like pools and pools of money."

The shitty thing is that some people will pay for it and not complain. Which is backwards because if you want to let the company know it's not OK to charge their customers out the ass you just don't buy it and/or pay for monthly subscriptions.

So I scoured the threads when I was deciding on my new system and I found very few current responses from people about where they currently play or where they will play. Very little.


Now I look at this thread and I'm sorely disappointed with how many ps4 owners didn't speak up. I want to play with y'all mother fuckers but I got an Xbone. Sonuvabitch.

Can anyone weigh in on Destiny on the Xbox?

Word It's why I got a Wii U and have a PS4. Wii U is for when friends are over so we can play some good old mario kart and soon the new smash bros. PS4 for doing my more intense gaming. I have thought about an xBox1 for killer instinct, Titanfall and Halo 5.

Also This is the Final Fantasy I was talking about. Not really new but it's on PS4 now and still need a monthly fee to play.

i pre-ordered too, got a dope two-sided poster and played the beta, which was one of the best gaming experiences of my life and it wasn`t even finished yet. keeping in mind that most games aren`t until a couple months after theyre released these days.

Looking at getting a XBone for this. Hopefully funds will allow.

Played the Beta on my 360 and loved it. I didn't like the quick leveling, but Bungie have said it was made a little quicker just for the beta.

when you start getting legendary and exotic armor it'll have an attribute called "light". 20 light = rank 21. there's a table out there that shows you how much light you need for whichever level
