ski-hippieA friend told me that volkl replaced all their all mountain twin tips (bridge gotama, shiro). Is this true? I think those were some of the best all-mountain/powder skis ever made.
LemuelAhmet's "new" pro model has the same / pretty close dimensions as the Bridge, but it's now camber with rocker in the tip and tail instead of full rocker. Not impressed, the full rocker was amazing.

PowPirateInteresting to see that all the original lasts (98mm narrow fit) still have cable buckles. where the new wider last (102) have a more conventional metal buckle system. Anyone know why that is? Did they just have left over stock/parts and are slowly fading the cables out??
rudagerRedesign of their original shell. Took elements of their original boot, and added new buckle system, as well as things like a different stance.
If you look at what they have to offer, they still do the original shell, their new Soul shell (which looks like the original boot, but updated features), and the Evolution shell, which is the 102mm last.
Companies need to evolve their product, gotta meet the consumers demands, or they get left behind in the dust.
I spent 4 years in a First Chair original shell. Went through countless buckles, blew out the tongues, and destroyed/cracked apart the shell. Like I said above, glad to see they're updated their products to make them better.

It's sweet to see that everything has been redesigned for the better though. Especially the tongue. That was a huge problem I had with my Full Tilts, the tongue kept popping out of the little hole it was barely clasped into.
Props for Full Tilt on their redesigns.

Doesn't make sense to me. Why would they get rid of boots that appeal to 80% of there customers? ie: every twelve year old.
K-Dot.They didn't get rid of anything. Just because it doesn't have Tom Wallisch's name on it doesn't mean it won't sell. Kids want whatever the pros are wearing (whether or not it has laces covering the cables) and FT still has one the deepest teams in the game. If anything they expanded. Now they have a more diverse line up that appeals to more people who might've originally cast FT aside for just being "kid park boots". I'm glad to see FT heading in the direction it is.
