Alright breh, didn't really mean it as the way you took it. Mostly just a comment about how another company is doing something similar with their outerwear.

We can get worked up all we want about post deletion (and it is fucking dumb in my honest opinion) but seriously, there's nothing new and exciting to see in any brand's ski lineup. The biggest difference between a 14/15 and a 15/16 lineup is a few millimetres and some graphics.
Does anyone know what brands are made in the same factory as Faction? I believe Faction, Elan, 4FRNT, Black Crows and maybe more are made in the same factory. If anyone has more info please share.
I'm interested how that works with the technical side of ski manufacturing. Do the brands make up their own improvements or does the factory do that and offer different options. I'm thinking of core materials, topsheet material, carbon options, bases etc.

100% agree. I found the performance of the 14/15 Mantra to be astoundingly worse than Mantras of the past. Full rocker has its place, but not on every ski Volkl makes wider than 92mm. Camber is essential to a strong and stable all mtn ride.

Blizzard has absolutely devoured the market that Volkl helped create. Yet they still refuse to change. It's unbelievable.
Just saw this on level 1's instagram. He's (LJ) definitely riding the 4.0, if you pause it at the right time you can see faction in writing on the bottom and then you can see the faction logo on the top right ski.

LJ is one of Line's longest tenured riders. Considering he tagged Line in the video and rode Line skis all throughout his Japow trip, I highly doubt he's riding for Faction.

Those are for sure 4.0s but that footage was from LAST winter, It would have been announced by now if he was actually sponsered by Faction.

I'm 99.999% sure that is not LJ and it is Tim McChesney and Lvl 1 made a mistake on their Instagram. Conspiracy. Everyone thought it was LJ. If you watch Less Tim McChesney has the same outerwear getup as in the Instagram clip. I'm very positive it is not LJ riding faction. Although that would be sick
I wonder about those skis. They're obviously not the new bentchetlers, seeing as those have the woodgrain graphic on the topsheet. Whatever they are they're not in the 15/16 catalog at all.
Maybe a narrower version of the chetler? Sorta like an old blog with HRZN tech? Thoughts?

I can't find it but there was a video of Tim hitting a jump with them and he said he was testing the new bentchetlers. Just a blacked out prototype graphic. I do hope we see a spread of HRZN through Atomic's skis. It's definitely a creative solution to some of the problems that arise with having a convex base, and a smart way to construct it into a ski. I'd put it high up there in terms of 'technologies' that came out in the last 3 or so years.
