I had to check the address, thought it was a scam. Fs100 for $2500 also. Out of my budget currently, but they have some insane deals going on right now.

You can buy adapters for the mount.



If i had $500 laying around I would totally pick this up. It would be sweet to slap a nikon speed booster on this guy, too bad the speed booster costs more than the camera ha

The BMPCC 2 or something like that is probably coming out soon, that's the only logic reason why the price would be so low.

i saw it this morning and thought it was fake too, I just sold my GH2 so I might grab one of these for kicks and sell it if I don't like it

Update

Adorama has a package deal for it with the speed booster (100 off speed booster)

so it's 884 total, not a bad deal at all

You have to consider form factor, you will always have to have this thing on a glidecam or tripod or buy a cage/handle system for it.

Be aware without a speed booster, the crop factor is 2.88x and with the speed booster is 1.75x which isn't too bad really but still something to keep in mind.

Pretty sure it doesn't shoot 60p, another thing to think about.

File sizes is something to consider too, RAW will be huge and prores will be about 1/2 as huge but still 10x h264/avchd.

yeah it only shoots 30p and you'll probably have to buy a few big SD cards (I got my 128 for around 60 bucks though so not too bad)

High ISO performance isn't sposed to be that good either, in camera only goes up to 3200 I think.

My friend who owns it says a battery only lasts like 40 minutes so you'll probably have to buy more of those too.

yeah you're probably right, it says 90 mbps on it but i'm pretty sure that's only the read speed, dunno what the write speed is

Analog speed booster brings it to a 2x crop for $130. The electric .58x metabones one for canon looks awesome, but $600 is a lot, especially if it will only work on this current gen. If they will continue to do super 16 sensors with m43 mounts, which I hope they do, it would be a little easier for me to justify spending that much, because it would be a long term solution.

Because you will need to spend over $1,000 on accessories alone just to make the thing usable.

You know how it's stupid to think you can afford a DSLR rig based on the body price? Well, with this - even more so.
