Peps pro model got dropped and I do believe he wanted a wider pow ski but K2 wouldn't do that to him. Plus they gave his pro model to Petit...

Anyways, it's not like 4Frnt won't give Pep any money for trips.

man fuck k2 imo. pep has done so much for that brand, fuck he was riding with them when their only twin was the k2 enemy. then when the public enemy and seth morrison pros came out that same year and he literally has had a huge part in the development and progression of k2 twins. fucking rocked the shit out the old enemies, killed it on the public enemy and the seth morison pro model. killed it on the made n aks when they where out. then when the rocker storm hit the ski industry he was deff one of the first to rock hellbents the way they were intended to be skied. i mean shit, he did some nasty nasty things on the hellbents and i know from experience those things have some swing weight like a mother fucker.i hope 4frnt works out great for him and he gets the pro model he deserves , ( yes i know he had a pro model with k2 for a few years but they wernt really even skis pep really enjoyed skiing and they was almost little to none footage of him riding his old pro models from k2.

TL;DR - pep has done soooo much for k2 skis and the brand in general, shit whenever someone mentions k2 i always would think of pep.

Word is Pep is renegotiating his contract. K2 had to cut costs to save face with a new president/corporate entity so they cut athletes to make their budget look lean. I've heard they're resigning most of their heavy hitters for this winter. Think Lebron opting out of his Heat contract only to resign with them a month later. Having your contract expire and being dropped are 2 different things. There's no way K2 said "See ya Pep, you're on your own."

I have no insider knowledge but I'd bet Sterbenze has wanted Pep to join them for a while. Think of it as a good thing for 4Frnt.

Pep will get a pro model quick on 4FRNT though maybe in time for this season. Hopefully its pretty strong though (have had bad experiences with 4frnt.

Fucking straight up, The Petitor is rad but the Kung Fujas was washy as hell.
Not a bad ski for beginner - intermediate, but no way Pep rode big lines with the same model that was being sold/ in my rental shop.

Kye Peterson has been with 4frnt since this winter and his pro model hasn't even been seen yet. They're still finishing it up. No way could they make another ski this quick. But however if he really is signing with 4frnt he'll probably get a pro model here in a year or two.

hmm, since pep is now residing in slc im sure him and sterbenz have been talking about it, I just hope 4frnt doesnt hold pep back from traveling, from what Ive heard 4frnt isnt doing too hot either. Couldnt agree more with whats been said above, when I think of K2 I think of Shane and pep.

If they got rid of Andy they made a huge mistake. Andy had a lot to do with the new ski "powabunga". If they got rid of him it's almost like giving a guy a pro model and getting rid of him.

To all people talking about a Pep pro model from 4FRNT, take in mind the KYE comes in 15/16...
It will be interesting to see what will happen to their lineup.
