Hello

I am in the market for a new bike cause my is complete shit. I would like to get a slopestyle bike is I can. I am 6'' and 180 lbs. What should I get?

i feel like the fact that you're asking for a suggestion on a slopestyle bike means you don't actually ride slopestyle... in that case here

If you're into slopestyle, why are you asking people on NS? I doubt anyone here is into slopestyle riding due to the niche nature of it.

I would describe the majority of my riding as slopestyle, and I know there are a few people on here I ride with. Also, he said that he was looking for a slopestyle bike, not that he was going to necessarily ride in that discipline. A ton of people don't realize how versatile these bikes are. I've ridden A-line, the whistler dirt jumps, and the air dome all on the same day with my Ticket S. I know people who have put dropper posts on theirs and use them as playful trail bikes. That being said, OP would probably know what he was looking for if he really needed a slopestyle bike.

Not disagreeing with you about these bikes being versatile, but slope bikes have a very specific geo that makes them excel in... well... dirt jumps. Sure you can take them down all those tracks you said, but get a proper DH down the same and it will a whole new ball game.

Not really. I had a true dirt jump bike before the ticket s and they are incredibly different rides. The fact that the slope rig is designed for bigger drops and jumps means it is super stable at speed for such a playful bike. I've ridden tons of dh bikes, (am currently building another) and honestly can't say which I prefer on the whistler flow stuff. Different, yes, but it isn't like a struggle to ride the slope bike down.

But physics almost dictates which bike you get. A downhill bike is sculpted from the beginning (and what makes it different from a slope bike) because of the fact its better at steeps ect compared to a slope bike.

Not saying its not possible but you wouldn't take a 2WD up a super steep icy road. You might get it done and it might be fun, but you could also use something intended for it.

Dude, read my post again. I never said it would be better at steeps. All I'm saying is that a slope bike is versatile, because it is dang fun on dirt jumps or flow bike park trails, which are nowhere near steep.

This is my point. Of course you can do tons of shit with them, and they're awesome, but if you're looking for one, you probably have a good idea bout them, and what you're looking for.
