Any suggestions on switching style

I'm trying to change my style up this season and spending a lot of time in the park. I come from a freestyle skiing background so I don't have any trouble getting air but I can't break my pencil technique. It's fucking ridiculous. A lot of times I pop of the tabletops so hard that I end up clearing the entire landing. It's also making it really hard to learn grabs. Does anyone have any suggestions. Are you not supposed to pop hard off a table top. I need some pointers on getting stylish tucked air. Anything would be appreciated.

try going off a bigger jump and seriously if you have to wind up your arms and body before the jump, the jump is too small for the trick you're doing. practice doing straight airs in a tucked position to get comfy in the air before you do fuckin gay ruler spins. as for grabs, do everything with a safety...not a mute or japan or somethign you could easily make gay...dont bring your hands to your skis, bring your legs up to your hands.

^ yeah because being 'Steezy' has a specific formula. Never break it, never grab anything but saftey, backflips are illegal, no having fun, make sure people are watching.

Thanks, I guess that brings up another issue. I haven't spun yet off a big table top. Only off of smaller jumps and mogul hits. Is the timing different. Every time I spin, I ussually crank it pretty hard. Off a table top I'm scared of cranking less and not making it around but also scared of over rotation. Any suggestions? Something doesn't seem right about spinning when you go that big.

Its slower. All u gotta do is use your head. Pop and turn your head the way u wanna go. When u wanna stop spining spot your landing and that's where you will go. It's that simple with just about any trick.

i worked for me to tryin do big 3s with saftys, but as you come off before you do anything just float off and make sure all balanced and lift yer legs to grab dont tryin reach all the way dont when yer legs are extended

come up to the jump in a low stance so your stance in the air will mimic that. then give it some good pop and if the jump is big enough get your legs up and do a grab and hold it for about 270
Send it

thanks, that's my problem....I've been reaching more than I've been tucking.

spread your feet apart and bend your knees. dont wind up your spins, just guide with your head and shoulders.
