lol fly fishing takes as much if not more skill and knowledge, and spending the day on a pristine river like the Yellowstone or Madison wading and slaying cuttys is superior to sitting in a dirty pond or lake on a bass boat casting a spinning rod.

Love fly fishing. i really should get out more, but I snapped my rod in the late fall last year, and have been pretty busy and haven't gotten another one. There's really nothing like it, it's such a great thing.

The only reason that they have those is because it's more popular and more affordable. Also it's easier to learn because there isn't a technique to casting as opposed to casting a fly rod.

What? I don't see any professional fly fisherman out there making $1,000,000+ from flyfishing? Bass fishing is more popular because it's better. Doesn't compare at all to a high alpine lake or pristine river fly fishing experience. And most of the time when you are bassin' it's in a dirty ass lake or pond, not a pristine alpine lake at 9000ft or a clear stream or river.

Haha I'd rather spend my time playing or watching a REAL sport. If you are fishing to be on TV that's a whole different atmosphere than fly fishing in general and it's like comparing apples and oranges.
Have you ever even fly fished? I grew up bass fishing and started fly fishing when I moved to Montana and I can conclude it's 100x better. As does nearly everyone who fly fishes after bass fishing. If you haven't done it there is no basis for comparison you fuckin noob.
